Job Description

McMurry University is currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach in the McMurry Online Degrees (MOD) undergraduate general business major.

We are seeking part-time faculty in the areas of:
• Art (exploring the visual arts, art appreciation)
• Biology (principles of biology)
• Communication (business and professional)
• Computer Science/Applications (introduction to computer science)
• English (Freshman writing sequence)
• Global Perspectives (world civilizations, religions of the world, survey of world societies)
• Health Fitness/Wellness
• Mathematics (algebra, business statistics)
• Religion (introduction to Christianity)
• Social Sciences (sociology, psychology, history, political science, history)

McMurry Online Degrees strives to:

Essential Duties Summary

Will teach undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas:
• Art (exploring the visual arts, art appreciation)
• Biology (principles of biology)
• Communication (business and professional)
• Computer Science/Applications (introduction to computer science)
• English (Freshman writing sequence)
• Global Perspectives (world civilizations, religions of the world, survey of world societies)
• Health Fitness/Wellness
• Mathematics (algebra, business statistics)
• Religion (introduction to Christianity)
• Social Sciences (sociology, psychology, history, political science, history)

Courses will be delivered in an 8-week format.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s Level degree
• 18 graduate hours in the field of instruction
• Experience teaching in an online format
• Commitment to providing responsive instruction and attentive support to online students.

Minimum Required Education Master’s degree
Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in instructional field
• Undergraduate or graduate level online teaching experience
• Competence with learning management systems such as Moodle, Canvas, and/or Blackboard
• Texas residency
